Static Guarding

Whether you require Static Officers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or even to cover your organisation to your individual specifications, Sector 5 Security will accommodate you and your business.

Static guarding ensures a high level security presence either in a gatehouse or in reception.

The presence of a professionally trained and confident security officer can deter thieves and even the most persistent criminals. In addition an officer can also assist with provision of vital extra skills within your company such as first aid, emergency co-ordination etc.

From providing a security presence, to more relaxed reception duties, we provide a service that is tailored to your needs. Mobile Patrol

Wherever your business is situated, there is an increasing chance of it being burgled or subjected to vandalism or in extreme cases attempted arson especially at night. However the likelihood of such incidents occurring can be greatly reduced.

Random visits by a Mobile Patrol Officer will provide external and if required internal patrols to your premises. Additionally, all those minor housekeeping tasks are also attended to such as

  • Switching off lights or equipment
  • Reporting obstructed fire exits
  • Reporting defective security devices: locks, fences etc
  • Setting & unsetting of alarms
  • Checking for potential fire hazards

Alarm Response

When it comes to protecting your premises, it pays to leave security to the experts, not to chance. So, whether you're out, visiting friends or enjoying a quiet night in, you can relax  knowing Sector 5 Security are taking round-the-clock care of your business.

Our 24 hour control room takes the initial call and designates a security officer to deal with the activation. Any officer that is sent out to an alarm activation is fully trained to use all types of security systems.

Key Holding

The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) states in their policy on police response to security systems that an alarmed company's responsibilities include:-

  • At least two key holders must be available for an emergency 24-hour response.
  • They must be able to provide their own transport.
  • They must be familiar with the premises and the alarm system
  • They must be contactable by telephone 24-hours a day.
  • They must reside within twenty minutes traveling time of the premises. .

Failure to comply with these conditions may result in WITHDRAWAL of Police response and hence INVALIDATE insurance cover.

Sector 5 Security will hold your keys securely until required and release them only under an authorized signature. If there is an alarm activation our officers will attend with your keys and deal with the situation. This means that in the event of an incident we can take immediate action to re-secure the premises, without having to contact you.

We can also escort you or your designated key holder to the premises. This service is designed to protect our client’s valuable assets and employees.

Locking/Unlocking Premises

An officer can visit your company at the end of the working day and carry out internal and external inspections to ensure that your premises are correctly secured.

In addition a similar visit can be arranged when the building is opened before your staff arrive at work and to ensure that essential services are switched on and ready. This can include the unsetting of alarm systems and the provision of temporary control of reception areas.

Risk Assessment

“Every employer, and self employed person, is under a legal duty to assess the risks to their employees and other people who may be affected by the undertaking (The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999)."

We will carry out an audit of your security infrastructure, technical and personal criteria and then evaluate this against the identified and perceived risks based upon business knowledge and security intelligence.

Information gathered during the assessment stage will be analyzed by Sector 5 Security, we will then measure the overall risk to your business highlighting potential risks and vulnerability. A full report will be prepared and recommendations will be compiled and delivered. Our security consultant will review this report with you to discuss the appropriate course of action.
